ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION • The Minnesota Ice Arena Manager’s Association was formed in 1975 by a group of arena personnel and allied businesses dedicated to improving the industry by sharing of information, innovative ideas and techniques through meetings, seminars, newsletters and surveys. • The Association stresses a close working relationship between all sectors of the industry; from management to maintenance and suppliers. • MIAMA sponsors an annual Fall Conference and Trade Show and Spring Workshop. • Membership is divided into 8 districts. Each district also hosts at least one district meeting during the year.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS TO ALL MEMBERS • Receive a membership plaque. • Receive a directory of M.I.A.M.A. members. The listing of arenas includes managers name, address, phone numbers and information about the facility. The listing of vendor members includes their products and services provided. Also included is a listing of other ice skating organizations that provide resources to our industry. • Listed on MIAMA website “www.rinkfinder.com”, including maps, information about your facility/business and the ability for you to change the information, have 3 digital photos and link to your own website. • Receive a copy of each quarterly MIAMA Newsletter. • Pay a member rate for all MIAMA conferences, workshops, seminars and trade shows. Non-members always pay a higher fee. • Request membership mailing labels for a minimal fee. • Voting Privileges.
Additional Benefits to Arena • Receive an Arena Manual that includes information on arena management and operation. • Receive a survey of ice rental rates, ice usage, wages, program fees, etc. • Place job postings and for sale notices in the newsletter and on website. • Receive M.I.A.M.A. welcome sign with facility rules. • The opportunity to receive the MIAMA James Padgett Award, an annual award recognizing an outstanding arena in management, maintenance, programs, special events, cost savings and/or new ideas. • Multi-location membership includes more than one facility location if operating under the same governing board, budget and located in the same City or County. Membership fee for the additional member location includes all the above benefits except the arena manual.

Additional Benefits to Vendors • The opportunity to write a vendor’s column in the newsletter describing products and services of your business. • An annual newsletter insert of all vendors, listing their business address, phone number and a description of the products and services provided. • Member rate for tradeshow display. • Opportunity to advertise in newsletter and on the website.
Membership Categories:
The MIAMA office will invoice annually membership dues. Payments can be paid via check or credit card.
